Mr. Anil Agarwal, is the founder of the Vedanta Group. He has been on the Board of the Company and the Non-Executive Chairman of the Company since March 2, 2001. He is also on the Board of Vedanta Resources Plc., UK as its Executive Chairman, Sterlite Industries (India) Limited as its Chairman, Sterlite Technologies Limited as its Chairman, Vedanta Aluminium Limited as its Director, Sterlite Energy Limited as its Chairman and The Anil Agarwal Foundation as its Director.

Mr. Navin Agarwal, has been on the Board of the Company and the Non-Executive Vice-Chairman of the Company since March 2, 2001. He has completed the Owner/President Management Programme at Harvard University and has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Sydenham College. He has over 23 years experience in business strategy, and managing overall performance and growth of the Company. He is also on the Board of Vedanta Resources Plc., UK, as its Deputy Executive Chairman, Sterlite Industries (India) Limited as its Executive Vice-Chairman, The Madras Aluminium Company Limited as its Chairman, Sterlite Iron & Steel Company Limited as its Director, Konkola Copper Mines Plc., as its Chairman, Hindustan Zinc Limited as its Director, Vedanta Aluminium Limited as its Director, Sterlite Infrastructures Private Limited as its Director, Sterlite Infrastructure Holdings Private Limited as its Director, Vedanta Resources Holding Limited as its Director and Vedanta Resources Investment Limited as its Director. Mr Navin Agarwal is a member of the Finance Standing Committee of the Board.

Mr. Tarun Jain, has been on the Board of the Company since March 2, 2001. He is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and Institute of Company Secretaries of India, besides being a Graduate of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India. He is also on the Board of Sterlite Opportunities and Ventures Limited as its Director, Vedanta Aluminium Limited as its Director, Twinstar Holdings Limited as its Director, Sterlite USA Inc. as its Director, Sterlite Infra Limited as its Director and Vedanta Medical Research Foundation as its Director.

Mr. Gudey Srinivas, aged 44 years, is our Government Nominee Director. He was appointed as part-time official director of the Company w.e.f. October 19, 2010 in terms of Ministry of Mines order No. 10(2)/2002-met.III dated October 19, 2010. He holds M.E.(Civil Engg.) degree from College of Engineering, Osmania University. He joined Indian Administrative Service in the year 1990. He worked in the key positions in Govt. of India, Govt. of Orissa. He held various posts such as Project Manager, International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD) Assisted Tribal Welfare Project. Govt. of Orissa, Collector and D.M., Jaipur, Govt. Orissa, Project Manager of World Bank Assisted ICDS programme, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh, Managing Director, A.P. Markefed, Private Secretary to Hon'ble Minister of State, Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India, Director, Ministry of Mines, Govt. of India.

Smt. Anjali Anand Srivastava is an Indian Audit and Accounts Service officer of 1982 batch. She joined the service after completing her LLB from Lucknow University in 1981. Smt Anjali Anand Srivastava is, at present,  on deputation to Government of India and is working as joint Secretary and Financial Advisor in Ministry of Coal and in addition looking after the work of Joint Secretary & Financial Advisor of the Ministry of Mines and Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Smt Anjali Anand Srivastava is also a Government nominated part time Director on the Board of Directors of Coal India Ltd (CIL), Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL), Hindustan Zinc Limited (HZL) and Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (BALCO).

Mr. Ravinder Kumar Malhotra, a Post-graduate in Public Administration has worked in key positions in Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Home Affairs. Mr. Ravinder Kumar Malhotra presently holds position of Director in Ministry of Mines. Mr. RK Malhotra is also Government nominated part-time director on  Board of Directors of Bharat Gold Mines Limited, Hindustan Zinc Limited (HZL) and Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (BALCO).

Mr. Pramod Suri is on the Board of the Company since April 25, 2007 and till September 30, 2009 he was also the Whole Time Director of the Company. He has a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He joined the Company in September 2004 as the Sr. Vice-President (Operation) and Head of the new Smelter Plant of the Company at Korba. He was in charge of the operations of the Company in December 2006 and in charge of the Aluminium operations of the Group in March 2008. He was earlier employed in JK Industries Ltd. (Tyre Division) as its Vice-President, Works and prior to that, he held positions in the Indian Aluminium Company Limited, CEAT Limited and Goodyear South Asia Tyres Pvt. Ltd. He is on the Board of Vedanta Medical Research Foundation as its Director, Lanjigarh Project Area Development Foundation as its Director and Sterlite Energy Limited as its Whole Time Director.

Mr. Gunjan Gupta, is B.E (Chemical Engineering) from IIT Roorkee and an MBA with specialisation in Marketing and Finance. He joined the Company in September 2005 as Vice President (Marketing) and was appointed as Business Head of the new Smelter in February 2007. He became Chief Executive Officer in March 2008 and Whole Time Director of the Company in October 2008. Mr. Gupta worked in Sales and Marketing Division of Tata Steel from 1990 to 1999. From 1999 to 2002 he worked with Sterlite Industries (India) Ltd in Sales and Marketing Division and became Head of Copper Marketing. During 2002 to 2003 he headed the marketing division of BALCO and from 2003 to 2005 he worked with Arcelor Mittal Group (then Mittal Steel) and was Director of Global Sales of Long Steel Products for the Central and European Steel Operations of the Group.
