Incorporated in 1965 as a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU), Bharat Aluminium Company Ltd. is now a part of the Vedanta Group with Government of India (GoI) divesting 51% equity in the year 2001in favour of Sterlite Industries (I) Ltd.
