DPS BALCO Concludes its 13th Annual Function with a Grand Cultural Showcase

29th November 2025

Balconagar, 29th November 2025:
Delhi Public School (DPS) BALCO celebrated its 13th Annual Function with a comprehensive presentation of India’s cultural richness and the school’s academic progress. The event began with the lighting of the traditional lamp, followed by a welcome song by the school choir. Students presented coordinated cultural performances representing major harvest festivals such as Chherchhera, Hareli, Pongal, Bihu, and Baisakhi, highlighting regional traditions and agricultural heritage. The theatrical presentation of Bhakt Prahlad, inspired by the Puranas, stood out as a key attraction and received wide appreciation from the audience.

Mr. Rajesh Kumar, CEO and Director (BALCO), graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his address, he emphasised the responsibility of preserving cultural values in an era shaped by technological advancement. He stated that discipline and core values must be instilled in children from an early age, as proper guidance and nurturing lead to the development of responsible and capable citizens. He acknowledged the confidence and discipline displayed by students as a reflection of the school’s focused mentoring and the support extended by parents. He encouraged students to dream ambitiously, continue learning with commitment, and trust their abilities to progress.

Presenting the Annual School Report, Mr. Kailash Pawar, Principal, DPS BALCO, outlined the institution’s achievements across academics, cultural activities, sports, and co-curricular domains. He highlighted the full activation of the NCC unit, which has strengthened students’ discipline, leadership, and national spirit. He acknowledged the strong performance of students at district, state, and national levels and reaffirmed the faculty’s commitment to supporting the holistic development of every learner.

The event concluded with a message of unity and cultural harmony, reflecting the essence of India’s diverse traditions.
