BALCO Hospital sets new benchmarks in medical innovation with Laser Proctology advancements

Incorporating advanced medical technologies, the BALCO Hospital has successfully performed two complex medical procedures recently, namely Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA) and Laser Proctology, for the first time since its inception. The availability of these procedures is set to greatly benefit visitors to the hospital, and highlights BALCO’s dedication in providing advanced healthcare solutions to the community.
The skilled medical team at BALCO Hospital, which caters to over 2,50,000 patients each year from across Korba, Raigarh, Bilaspur and Janjgir Champa districts in Chhattisgarh, recently conducted Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA) on two patients to help treat varicose veins. Commonly found in the thigh or calf areas, the condition results in swollen and bulging veins and leads to distressing symptoms such as pain and heaviness in the affected areas. Dr. Hemanth Kaja (MBBS, DNB, FMAS), Laparoscopic and Laser Surgeon, Proctologist, and Endoscopist at BALCO Hospital, performed the Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA) treatment on the patients using advanced laser devices including Radical Fiber, Bare Fiber, and other equipment crucial in laser surgeries. Not only did this minimally invasive procedure improve the physical well-being of these patients, but it also addressed their aesthetic concerns, enhancing overall well-being.
