For Devashish Patel, Shift In-Charge at the Foundry, BALCO mirrors the spirit of his formative years. “The way we learn here reminds me of college, curious, hands-on, and collaborative,” he says. “We work diligently and then step into open spaces and greenery in the township that help us unwind.” One aspect he holds close is the presence of the BALCO Hospital. “Knowing my parents receive regular medical care gives me peace of mind and helps me stay present in every role I play.”
Manish Kumar Patail, a PGT from the Bake Oven, highlights BALCO’s long-standing engagement with local institutions. “The company has consistently hired from colleges in Chhattisgarh, creating opportunities that once felt distant,” he says. Recently married, Manish adds, “Working at BALCO has challenged my usual perception of plant locations.
